About the Firm
I originally started my law practice in Monterey but closed my office in Ryan Ranch to practice law outside the country for a while. I enjoyed the challenges of practicing from abroad but missed the community of having a local office. Instead of returning to Monterey I chose instead to make Santa Cruz my permanent home and took over the law practice of Eileen Hamilton, who took over for Margaret Leonard when she retired.
Since taking over for Eileen, I have focused primarily on estate planning and trust administration but my background is in business and tax planning. I did my undergraduate work in Finance and I have a graduate degree in Taxation. My first career was as a Realtor salesperson in San Diego so I'm happy to answer questions for people buying homes that are unsure of how to take title, which is a significant issue when coordinating the purchase with a current or contemplated estate plan.
My clients and colleagues are amazing and I am truly thankful that I get to spend my days helping them solve problems and plan for the future. Simple planning goes a long way but to help start people on their journey to a more secure future I offer Advance Health Care Directives at no charge. Just call and make an appointment.
